Edie Falco

US broadcast network Fox has commissioned a new legal drama, Katie Greaves (working title), produced by Fox Entertainment Studios and Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions.

The series stars Edie Falco (The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie, Mayor of Kingstown) as an attorney who is drawn back into the job she loves after stepping away following a devastating personal tragedy.

It will air as part of the network’s 2027/28 slate, with Fox Entertainment Global handling international sales.

The show is written and executive produced by Sharr White (Presumed Innocent, Palm Royale, The Affair), who also serves as showrunner. The project also counts Scott, David W Zucker and Falco among its executive producers.

Scott Free Productions, which was founded in 1995 by Ridley and Tony Scott, is behind series and films such as The Martian, Thelma & Louise, The Good Wife and The Man in the High Castle.

“Sharr has created an extraordinary character in Katie Greaves: funny, formidable, deeply human, and driven to fight for people who might otherwise be overlooked, including her own family. The incredibly talented Edie Falco brings all of that strength, wit, and vulnerability to the screen, and there is no one we’d rather have at the center of this story,” said Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn.
