Raw, the UK production company behind Netflix docs including The Crash and Tinder Swindler, has promoted two execs within its senior leadership team.

Exec producer Rebecca North is becoming Raw’s head of documentaries while Chloe Symonds will be VP of global unscripted development.

North will work with creative directors Tim Wardle and Jonny Taylor on Raw’s strategy for its unscripted slate, as well as continuing to act as an executive producer. Her next titles include a new feature doc and series for Netflix and a docuseries for another global streamer yet to be announced.

North’s recent titles as exec producer include the Netflix hits The Crash and Bafta-nominated series American Nightmare. Her other credits since joining Raw in 2015 include ITV series The Undercover Police Scandal: Love & Lies Exposed, as well as Netflix’s The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman and Sweet Bobby.

Symonds will report to senior VP of global unscripted development Ross Goodlass, having joined Raw in 2022 from the development team at Mindhouse. She also previously worked at Flicker.

Joely Fether, RAW’s CEO, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to see Rebecca take on this new role at Raw. Her instinct for stories and integrity in navigating extremely difficult subjects whilst creating powerful and compelling films is exceptional. Supported by Jonny and Tim, and alongside the rest of our fantastic senior team, we feel better placed than ever to deliver innovative and impactful titles in this fast-moving and evolving market. The elevation of Chloe also sees a real emerging talent take on a more senior role within the company.”
