My Lady Jane is a new alt-history fantasy drama for Amazon Prime Video that reimagines what might have happened if English Tudor queen Lady Jane Grey – also known for her short reign as the Nine Day Queen – hadn’t been executed in 1554.

The eight-part series, made by Parkes/MacDonald Productions, Image Nation, Picrow and Amazon MGM Studios, is based on a novel of the same name by Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton and Cynthia Hand.

Co-showrunners Gemma Burgess and Meredith Glynn spoke to Michael Pickard about the series, which upends history and the screenwriting rulebook, weaving in animation, characters that shape-shift into animals and more.

C21FM is live 24/7, with a block of interviews starting at 10am BST every day HERE.
