Four former Netflix execs launch entertainment company Juno Studios

Juno Studios’ Amber Taylor, Fiona Lamptey, Bec Mortimer and Vinnie Shergill

Former Netflix execs Amber Taylor, Fiona Lamptey, Bec Mortimer and Vinnie Shergill have jointly founded a UK-based entertainment company called Juno Studios.

Headquartered in London, Juno Studios will cover the development, production, distribution and marketing of content and will work with third-party creatives, in addition to developing its own slate of projects “so new stories are told and fresh voices are heard.”

In a joint statement, the co-founders said: “Juno Studios is forging a new path in entertainment. Our collective expertise in storytelling runs across development, production, marketing and distribution and we’re excited to bring our entertainment experience to our partners.

“Juno Studios operates as an end-to-end studio with a collaborative cross-platform approach, so we can engage with audiences in the spaces they already love.

“We are collaborating with writers, filmmakers, on-screen talent, creators, cultural organisations and brands that are intentional about longevity and legacy; who want to bring value to audiences by cultivating belonging.”

Marketing exec Mortimer, who is responsible for bringing the co-founding team together, worked for Netflix in the UK between 2013 and 2022 and previously held senior leadership roles at Warner Bros, Universal Pictures and Entertainment One, where she created successful campaigns for films and series including Harry Potter, Twilight and Sex Education.

Lamptey’s focus is on partnerships with writers, filmmakers, producers, showrunners and behind-the-camera creatives. The exec was director of UK features at Netflix from 2020 to 2023, where she led the development and production of The Wonder, crime thriller I Came By, The Kitchen, Scoop and The After. Before that, she was at Little Dot Studios, Channel 4 and Fruit Tree Media.

Shergill previously headed up casting at Netflix EMEA from 2022 to 2023 and was formerly head of creative diversity at BBC Studios. She has also worked on shows for Comic Relief and Sport Relief for the BBC, including The Great British Celebrity Bake Off and Let’s Dance.

Taylor was marketing director for Netflix UK, where she worked for nine years leading cross-channel film, series and brand campaigns. She previously worked at 20th Century Fox and OMD Media.
