Blue Zoo is bringing the Fugglers toy range to the screen

UK animation prodco Blue Zoo has signed a five-year content partnership with IP management company Libertas Brands to bring the Fugglers toy range to the screen.

Under the terms of the agreement, Blue Zoo has been tasked with developing digital Fugglers content for TV, gaming, social media and online platforms.

The deal will potentially include both feature-length and TV series productions, with both companies seeking broadcast partners for the projects.

Libertas Brands hold the global rights for Fugglers, a range of soft monster toys.

Mark Kingston, CEO and co-founder, Libertas Brands, said: “This strategic collaboration with Blue Zoo will allow us to extend the Fuggler experience beyond the realm of toys.

“We believe this jointly funded partnership will create immersive and entertaining content that resonates with our existing fans, while also introducing the crazy world of the Fugglers to new fans worldwide.”

Oli Hyatt, director at Blue Zoo, said: “Investing in Fugglers is a unique and thrilling opportunity. The whimsical and eccentric nature of Fugglers characters provides endless possibilities for storytelling and comedy.”
