24 Series 246x30
Ride along with the officers who patrol the twists and turns of tarmac that is Auckland, New Zealand’s motorway network.
Auckland drivers need a wake-up call: Youngsters are leaning out the back of their car at high speed, filming videos for social media. Others don’t have the energy and decide the motorway is a good place to stop and nap, but it’s not a dream scenario when they draw police attention and are proven to be drunk. One pair of travellers want to ensure a good night’s sleep, bringing home a new bed, but have not properly lashed their mattress to the roof-rack. The mattress flies free, creating an inner-sprung impediment in the fast lane.
And it wouldn’t be a season of Motorway Patrol without critters on the freeway risking life and limb, and the kind officers who catch them. There are kitten rescues, runaway pup wrangling, and the cutest motorbike riding pooch in a helmet and goggles.
