Kevin & Co 8 x 30'

Hunter Malone (Adam Pally) is an American billionaire man-child and tech entrepreneur, blessed with mischievous charm and New Zealand citizenship. When Hunter’s latest tech venture is accidentally sold to a Russian-affiliated private military company, Hunter is charged with treason by the FBI.

Short on cash and friends, Hunter cuts a deal – he offers to have his lavish island converted to a bird sanctuary by the Department of Conservation, in exchange for letting him stay.

Soon his luxury playground is overrun by conservationists, endangered birds and the increasingly bizarre rules of wildlife management. As the DOC team steadily takes over, Hunter finds himself battling workplace politics, environmental regulations and people who care far more about birds than his billions.

Globally recognised comedy talent is in front of and behind the camera – with the cast led by Adam Pally (Sonic the Hedgehog, The Mindy Project, Happy Endings) and featuring Rachel Bilson (Hart of Dixie, The O.C.) and Nish Kumar (The Mash Report), and the series scripted by Joseph Moore (SNL UK, Guy Montgomery’s Spelling Bee, Taskmaster NZ), Laura Daniel (Jono and Ben, Funny Girls) and Nic Sampson (Starstruck, Baby, Done).

Combining a spectacular New Zealand setting with a uniquely Kiwi comic voice and broad international appeal,The Sanctuary brings the familiar ensemble dynamics of a workplace sitcom to a completely unconventional workplace. The coming together of this unlikely community will resonate with audiences who love the ensemble warmth and workplace chaos of Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Office.
