Austrian Josef Hoffmann influenced 20th-century architecture like no other. One of the brightest lights of the Vienna Secession movement, he created iconic Art Nouveau buildings. With the Wiener Werkstätte, he revolutionized ornamental design. His clear, minimalistic, geometric forms paved the way for modernism, including functionalism and Bauhaus.
