AMC picks up Kew package

BBC1 drama Line of Duty

NATPE: AMC Networks-owned streamer Sundance Now has bought psychological drama series Cold Call from Kew Media Distribution for its services in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America.

Sundance Now has also acquired rights to Aileen: Life & Death of a Serial Killer, Biggie & Tupac, Tales of the Grim Sleeper, Three Days in June, Soufra, Princess Diana: A Life After Death, Frackman, The Thread and Trumbo for the US and Canada.

AMC Networks in the US, meanwhile, has bought the first four seasons of BBC1 drama Line of Duty from Kew, while Société Radio-Canada has acquired the fifth season of the police series.

In addition, ViacomCBS Networks Americas has picked up documentary Margaret Atwood: A Word After a Word After a Word is Power for Paramount Channel Latin America.

Kew Media Distribution’s parent company is currently facing the prospect of being delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange after defaulting on its credit facility and parting ways with its chief financial officer.
